Work Diary - Shoot Two

For this session, I continued working on my location shoot and this time, I had more time to actually think about what I was going to do. I found this session easier than the last but it was still quite challenging; I found it hard to think about how I could combine my pictures together. I think this will always be a challenge and the best way to overcome this is by knowing what I want to take pictures of before I go out and shoot. By doing this, I will have time to plan and decide on what I want to shoot and how I want to shoot it so that it would be possible for me to put particular pictures together on Photoshop. I really like this picture out of the ones I took - I like how the two subjects are looking at each other, establishing a relationship. Also, the difference in size shows a massive difference in power.

However, I think I could have improved this picture by choosing better lighting. I think the brightness of the picture is over exaggerated and the reflection clearly looks like it's been Photoshopped into the mirror. Next time, I will take a picture at different angles and make sure the camera is on a tripod so the frame stays the same throughout.

For the next shoot, I would like to spend some time in the studio as I think this will allow me to manipulate the lighting in the way I want to. I would also like to combine pictures from shooting on location and in the studio as I think this will give me a wider choice of how I can put the pictures together on Photoshop.
