As I mentioned in my last work diary, I have decided to focus on silhouettes in this session. I thought this was fun and interesting; I enjoyed manipulating my subjects in order to create unique silhouettes. I thought this would be hard at first due to the lighting, I had to focus the lights on the background so that my subject's weren't well lit. Then, I had to edit the pictures on Photoshop so that I could make the background whiter and my subjects darker. I soon found that this wasn't as hard as I had anticipated - the concept was easy to understand and repeat with my pictures. I enjoyed working on this topic and if I had more time, I would have maybe done a location shoot to further explore the idea of silhouettes.
I really like this picture as it gives out a mysterious atmosphere. The fact that no features of my subjects are shown makes the viewer curious and further highlights my chosen topic of silhouettes.
For the next session, I plan on using inspiration from Sandrine Boulet's work and use her techniques. However, I am going to focus on household items for my shoot.
