I picked the topic of Photomontage because out of all the topics, I think this one gives me a lot to work with and allows me to explore beyond the idea of simple putting pictures together on Photoshop. After doing some research and looking at some photographs on the internet, I found this topic even more interesting. I was intrigued by the variety of themes that could be explored with this particular topic and the editing skills in each picture was remarkable. I was immediately drawn to this topic as I felt like I could benefit from choosing it; I will be able to develop my Photoshop skills and I will have to prepare my shoots in advance. This will make me more organised in Photography and allow me to explore the exciting surreal themes that go hand in hand with this topic such as fantasy.

I feel this topic brings fantasy to life as we see the different aspects of fairytales being portrayed in real-life settings - this somehow links the idea of childhood with the idea of adulthood. 

I think I have an idea of what I want to do with my chosen topic. I will do some more research in the near future and look at some photographers; this will give me an idea of what is expected with this specific topic. When I first looked up Photomontage, the story of Alice in Wonderland came to me - I would like to do something with this. For example, do a shoot with the theme of this fairytale, I will need to think more about this and how I can proceed with this. Also, I would like to replicate some work from some photographers as well as take my own pictures. I think this will allow me to use techniques and methods I would not normally use, adding variety to my pictures.
