Work Diary - Shoot Six

In today's session, I focused on people's faces. I really enjoyed this because I got to experiment with the different ways I can manipulate the facial features of my subjects on Photoshop. The hardest part of the session was the editing, although I had a lot of fun doing this. Taking the pictures were fairly easy as I asked my subjects to pull several facial expressions; I didn't focus too much on which expression I wanted them to do as this gave me more choice when editing.

Out of the pictures I produced, I quite like this one, mostly because it has a sense of humour to it. I think the fact that my subject is smiling adds to the funny element of this picture.

For the next session, I am planning on focusing on multiple people. I think I'm going to do a simple shoot and see how it goes - almost like a 'trial shoot' so if it goes well, I will repeat it in a few weeks but I will then try to add more people or maybe choose a short story to portray instead of having my subjects sit or stand there.
